A dreamful stay at Kovalam ----Lot of intersting happenings......

The day went peaceful as there is nothing much to do than visiting the local temples and museums. By evening moved to Kovalam. Kovalam is really a dream place where our stay was arranged at a hotel near lighthouse. The location was quite fascinating as there was a very picturesque view of the beach. That day evening was meant for the seafood adventures. Crabs, Shells, Muscles, Lobsters, Prawns and variety of sea fishes attracted attention of the students. Many of them are seeing this variety of seafood items first time They found themselves interested in moving around different restaurants, check the menu and last ordering some of the mouth watering dishes. Unfortunately, many of them placed order, but waited for hours to get their orders on the table. After hours of wait, many of them returned to hotel with a dull face as they didn’t get the food ever after a long wait.
In the evening, our friend in Trivandrum had arranged a bonfire programme and every one was highly excited to move around the fire with the music. It soon attracted some foreign tourists who were staying in the hotel. Tarun’s attention moved to a foreigner lady who wished to move around her. Seem like he want to teach her dancing. Pramod, Veeru Baba and Kamalesh also joined Tarun as they were experts of dancing. After listening my signals to leave the foreigner alone, they hesitantly moved to the circle again.
Worries didn’t leave me that evening too, as Phani, Mukesh and Anil came at 10.45.p.m., though the eporting time was 9.30 p.m
we were just moving for a search in the beach while these guys appeared all of a sudden....
Veeru Baba was the group leader, and afraid of punishment for coming late, he looked puzzled.
Called them personally to my room, given them a verbal slapping to all three and ordered them to carry the bags of Amit and Deepak rest of the trip.
Next day morning I woke up at 5 a.m, just to see the morning at Kovalam Beach. Unlike the day hours, the beach was quite silent, looks completly silent. Dev, Madhu, and some other students were also there along with me. The pale moon light peeped throuth the coconut palm trees, where the beams of light house circled the sky, the waves of the sea had something special, as if it had to tell us many stories. The water was pure, and the shore was pretty clean. The lights along the beachfront, not even rested for a second as if they are doing their duty to awake whole night. At the other end, the horizon was preparing for the begining of a new day, to welcome the baby sun. Cold breeze, silent shores, the breathing of waves, and overall, the infifity of life reflects just under your foot steps...I am becoming crazy na...........
while leaving Kovalam, there was a deep sort of pain (dont know why).. something specil, as it pulls me again and again to the beachfront.
while reaching bus, found Neeraj, Ajit, Rohit, Gaurav and Ranjit fighting with Coconuts. they just wanted to break it, have the water, and eat the sweet coconut, but none was knowing the art of breaking it. got an old knife from the near by shop owner, and I started cutting it. Some students interesting videographed my act, as I an expert Tender coconut seller.
(Later, I came to knew that, in the previous night, some of my best students had an adventure with the cocnut tree and lifted few coconuts very smartly. then they very cleverly presented the story of they have purchased it for Rs. 5/- per cocnut. I thought these people are fools as they have got damaged coconuts., but later come to know that they have fooled me.... , any way thay have proven that without giving a clue to the hotel owner, or getting any bites from dogs, they completed their project excellently.....smart students!!!, thak God that they were not caught .)
Left Kovalam next day, to catch the train to Goa. The train was at 10 am and e would reach Goa by next day morning. The train journey went with full masti as many of them were fully engaged in their own activities.
                                                                    (contd...... )
