Kochi--- Day 1

hummid and hot day, as if the mid summer has reached Kochi in January. Every one was eager to go hotel and change their dress and fresh up. Dushyant came to receive us at railway station and it was high moral support for our students. As advised by DP we moved by autorikshaws to the hotel located at Broadway. once I reached the hotel, we came to know that Tarun lost his bag which contains cash and mobile alongwith dress. HOrrible... the issue started on the very first day... tokk the same rickshaw to back with Tarun. The driver was scolding in local language about the irresponsibility of Tarun that he cant even take care of his bag.
Stopped the vehicle near the railway station and started searching the roadside shops. no response. found a police vehicle near by and went with our complaint. Police directed us to the aid post /prepaid taxi counter. the moment we reached there Tarun identified his bag. The police fellow was suspecious and asked several questions. Tarun opened the bag and as he claimed there were Rs6500 cash in one pack and Rs1500 plus in valet and mobile phone. Thanking the police fellow and paying a bulky tip, we proceeded to the hotel.
DP was anxious about the developments, but by the time I had reached rooms were distributed in a decent way. all rooms were spacious and good in appearance. As suggested by DP everyone was in a rush to move to the Punjabi restaurant to eat something delicious of thier own taste.
we started our local sight seeing at 3.30 to the Fort Kochi site. we took the local boat operates by KSRTC from Ernakulam South to Fort Kochi . The surprising fact was the ticket charge was Rs 2.50.
every one was in a rush to enjoy the local surroundings and the moving ships captured the camera eyes many times. as our group was of 36 we had to wait for 1 hour to reach the destination finally but reached the sopt well in time. we had no clear plan for the day as the jewish synagogue is closed, the Dutch Palace is also off on that day.
while moving ahead, our smart guys found that cycles are available on rent. Satya and Rezalat soon found in a cycle, moving with smiling face. we moved to DPs office and spent some time together.
End of the day ..  the seafront. Excitement in every ones face. many are first timers in seafront.....
the evening was very pleasant and there was a festive look every where. the port was decorated in coloured lights, ships are moving slowly to set the containers to the terminal , a silent breeze everywhere.
the day is just gone when every one went to their own world of Gossips dreams
